God is all in all. God is self-encompassing to the extent that his eternal state and being precludes us from any knowledge of him. That’s that bad news. BUT, we do know about God. And EVERYONE knows about God (Romans 1).
This is because God has stepped down from his eternal throne and talked to us. He has condescended into history and spoke to us. He has spoken to all men. He has revealed Himself naturally (that is, through nature) as well as supernaturally (that is, through His word). What we know about God’s attributes and character is only what God has revealed to us. We will spend eternity in never-ceasing glory as we learn more and more about God.
One attribute of God is that God is compassionate. We can look to Judges 10:3-16 to see just one example.
