I Peter 4:8-9 says that as Christians, we should “above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling“.
Hebrews 13:2 echoes this sentiment: “Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Ministry through hospitality is seen all throughout the New Testament as a basic function of the local church. 3 John also speaks of its importance; reproving him who would “refuse to welcome the brothers“.
