Sanctification necessarily follows sanctification. Believers help each other in the sanctification process. Sanctification is achieved by obedience to God’s law. “If you love me you will keep my commandments”. Fellowship, prayer, hearing and studying and word, and the sacraments are all commandments of God and means of grace in the life of a believer.
